Traditional NAS storage, based on file system, limits storage capacity and access speed when faced with massive files in the big-data era. However, the advantage of object-oriented storage lies in that it is a device connected to the network without the file system, and can automatically manage the data distribution, whose performance is far beyond other storage structures, such as direct access through the URL, faster access speed, and better security. Therefore, in order to solve the problem of traditional storage, i2DTO arises in this moment. It can migrate data from traditional NAS storage to object-oriented storage or local storage (localFS), and updates files access address after migration through i2DTO mapping. Support comparison and synchronization of LocalFS to object storage, object storage to object storage, and support Linux host synchronization.
