Liaoning Provincial People’s Hospital http://www.szzgsj.com/en/11511.html Fri, 15 Nov 2024 15:41:27 +0000 http://www.szzgsj.com/?p=11511

Liaoning Provincial People’s Hospital and Information2 have jointly built a comprehensive and highly efficient disaster recovery system, providing solid support for the hospital’s continuous operation and patient services.

Customer Challenges

Liaoning Provincial People’s Hospital’s HIS business system, as the core of the hospital, operates in an Oracle RAC environment, carrying a large amount of data and information related to the hospital’s daily operations. Additionally, the hospital has numerous business systems running on virtualization platforms, which are also crucial for medical services and management work. However, facing the ever-increasing volume of medical data and evolving business needs, the hospital’s existing disaster recovery plan has struggled to meet the high requirements for data security and business continuity.

Specifically, the hospital faced the following challenges:The HIS business system in the Oracle RAC environment needed real-time disaster recovery and backup to ensure rapid business recovery in the event of a disaster. The multiple business systems on the virtualization platform required one-to-one application takeover to ensure a swift switch to the standby system during business interruptions.

Massive data required centralized backup and rollback to any point in time to meet the hospital’s high standards for data security and integrity.

I2 Solution

Addressing these challenges, Information2, after conducting preliminary user environment research, tailored a comprehensive disaster recovery system solution for Liaoning Provincial People’s Hospital. The solution was implemented in two phases:

Phase 1: Real-Time Disaster Recovery and Backup, and Application Takeover

  • Real-Time Disaster Recovery and Backup for the HIS Business System in the Oracle RAC Environment:Information2’s i2Active database synchronization solution was utilized to achieve real-time disaster recovery and backup for the HIS business system. This solution monitors changes in the Oracle RAC environment’s database in real-time and synchronizes incremental data to the standby system in real-time, ensuring rapid business recovery in the event of a disaster.
  • Application Takeover for Business Systems on the Virtualization Platform: Information2’s i2Availability high availability intelligent solution was implemented for one-to-one application takeover for 30 core business systems at the application level. This solution enables high availability protection at the application level locally, remotely, or in the cloud, ensuring a swift switch to the standby system during business interruptions and safeguarding business continuity.
  • Phase 2: Centralized Data Backup and Recovery

    • Centralized Data Backup for Massive Data: Information2’s i2CDP (rollback to any point in time) and i2VP (agentless whole virtual machine backup) solutions were implemented for centralized backup of data from 50 business systems. The i2CDP solution supports rollback to any point in time, ensuring data integrity and recoverability, while the i2VP solution enables agentless backup of entire virtual machines, improving backup efficiency and flexibility.
    • Data Recovery and Migration: Based on data backup, Information2 also provided a comprehensive data recovery and migration solution. In case of data loss or business interruption, the hospital can quickly restore or migrate to the standby system using backup data to ensure business operations.
    Solution Effects

Improved Availability and Continuity of Business Systems: Through real-time disaster recovery and backup and application takeover solutions, the hospital ensured that the HIS business system and core business systems on the virtualization platform could be quickly restored and switched to the standby system in the event of a disaster, safeguarding business continuity and patient service quality.

Enhanced Data Security and Integrity: Through centralized backup of massive data and rollback to any point in time, the hospital ensured data integrity and recoverability, effectively preventing the risk of data loss and tampering.

Reduced Operational Costs and Complexity: Information2’s solution enabled cross-platform, cross-system disaster recovery management, reducing the hospital’s operational costs and complexity while improving operational efficiency.

    Customer Evaluation

The disaster recovery system built by Information2 not only realizes real-time disaster recovery and application takeover for our Oracle RAC and virtualization platform business systems but also ensures secure backup and recovery of massive data, significantly enhancing business continuity and data security. The cooperation process was professional and efficient, highly recommended!

    ]]> The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University http://www.szzgsj.com/en/11508.html Fri, 15 Nov 2024 15:34:45 +0000 http://www.szzgsj.com/?p=11508

By deeply integrating advanced technology with customer needs, Information2 has tailor-made a high-level disaster recovery system for The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University. This not only ensures the data security and business continuity of its core business systems but also lays a solid foundation for the hospital’s long-term development.

    Customer Challenges

As a large tertiary hospital, The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University runs its core business systems such as HIS (Hospital Information System), LIS (Laboratory Information System), EMR (Electronic Medical Record System), and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) in a Vmware virtualized environment. However, these critical business systems lack corresponding underlying data backup mechanisms, and the disaster recovery mechanisms natively provided by Vmware virtualization can no longer meet the hospital’s high requirements for data security of its core business systems.

Facing the increasing volume of medical data and escalating demands for business continuity, the hospital urgently needs to implement real-time disaster recovery and backup protection through third-party software to enhance the resilience of its important information systems against disasters and major accidents, reduce losses caused by disasters or major accidents, ensure data security, and minimize business interruptions and economic losses due to data loss.

    I2 Solution

Addressing the actual needs of The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, Information2, together with Unicom Cloud, built a Level 5 disaster recovery system for it, achieving dual protection at both the application level and real-time data level.

    • Local Hyper-Converged Construction of Disaster Recovery Center: Without altering the hospital’s existing business architecture, Information2 utilized local hyper-converged technology to virtualize virtual machines and construct a disaster recovery center. This provided the hospital with an operating environment independent of the production center, ensuring the reliability and independence of the disaster recovery center.
    • i2Active for Real-Time Disaster Recovery and Backup:Information2 deployed its i2Active product on both the source and backup ends. By real-time analysis of production-end logs, it achieved second-level incremental data synchronization. In case of a failure in the production center, the one-click takeover function provided by i2Active can quickly switch business to the backup end, ensuring business continuity. Meanwhile, after the Oracle RAC cluster in the production center is repaired, i2Active also offers reverse synchronization to ensure data integrity and consistency.
    • Cloud-Based Disaster Recovery Protection: To prevent data loss from disasters at the data center, Information2 deployed its i2COOPY and i2CDP products, backing up data to Unicom Cloud via hyper-converged technology. This not only achieved offsite data backup but also further enhanced the hospital’s data security protection capabilities.
    Solution Effects

Through this collaboration, The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University successfully built a high-level disaster recovery system, achieving real-time disaster recovery and backup protection for its core business systems. This system not only meets the hospital’s needs for business takeover and offsite data backup of its core HIS database system but also ensures the 24/7 stable operation of the database system, achieving continuous business availability.

Additionally, the establishment of this disaster recovery system has laid a solid foundation for the continuous development of the hospital’s information construction. With one layout, the hospital has achieved long-term development planning, providing strong support for future business expansion and data growth.

    Customer Evaluation

The collaboration between Information2 and Unicom Cloud has brought a new disaster recovery and backup solution to the hospital. This solution not only enhances the data security and business continuity of our core business systems but also provides robust support for our future information construction.
